Mimi’s Matches – كبريت ميمي

Mimi’s Matches is an ode to my beautiful father who passed away recently. I wanted to design and animate an ad for a product I might have found in his room. I chose snooker as the product’s cover – it was his favorite game. He was, in fact, playing it in his final moments. Inspiration for the designs came from older Egyptian product ads & posters as well as modern typography and food branding. Featuring a badass old passport picture of him.
